Over at Noozhawk, Lara Cooper has a great article on the fate of the famous, sometimes infamous, iconic Santa Barbara Clark Estate. This amazing 23-acre coastal estate, sometimes referred to as “Bellosguardo” has commanding views of the coast-line and Andree Clark bird refuge alike, making it one of the finest tracts of land near downtown Santa Barbara.
The fate of this sprawling estate has remained uncertain ever since Heiress Huguette Clark passed away in 2011. Because of two conflicting wills left by Clark, the property has remained vacant ever since. Central to the debate is Ms. Clark’s bequeathing the remainder of her estate to the “Bellosguardo Foundation” an organization dedicated to promoting and fostering the arts as well as opening Bellosguardo to the public.
